Many parents are tracking the latest changes to school subjects very closely. The central board recently updated its guidelines to follow the National Education Policy language policy. This update means middle school children must study three languages instead of two. While it sounds simple, the change created a massive practical issue for students who had spent years learning global languages like French or German. If forced to drop their chosen subjects midway to pick up a completely new native language, their board exam scores would suffer heavily.

​Here came the intervention of the Ministry of Education through an important change in the policy. The government stated that the CBSE Three Language Policy will be applicable gradually to Class 6 rather than imposing it directly on the senior classes. This indicates that the children who are enrolled in classes 7, 8, and 9 can complete their Class 10 examinations in peace without altering their language choices.
